 My Happy Family is based on the Action/Adventure swashbuckler sub-genre. Since the characters are set in medieval Europe, I wanted to evoke the style of the era through the decorative framework (referring to the art of illuminated manuscripts). I plan to make linocut prints out of these designs.

    A man from Myanmar and another from Cambodia were both offered by a stranger a profitable job working on ships in Thailand. Eager to help their poor families including themselves, they accepted visas to Thailand where their ship is waiting to take them. But it was not long until the ship was intercepted and the two men realized they were far away near Papua New Guinea, about to be trapped in a human trafficking syndicate for fishing slave labor.
